Outdoor Sketching at Launde Abbey
|
| An outdoor sketching day at Launde Abbey was suggested and organised for our group by Phil. This was to be in June and, always subject to the weather. It was to include several hours sketching followed by Lunch in the abbey restaurant. Fortunately the weather on the day was sunny and dry and provided a perfect stage for a wide range of painting and drawing opportunities. We all met in the car park at 10:30 and set off to choose our preferred spots around the picturesque grounds of the abbey. |

We then had about 3 hours of most
enjoyable sketching before meeting up at the restaurant for some
lunch. During the morning a number of us also took advantage of
the take away coffee and cake available from the tearoom. |
